A Little Bit About Me

I am a qualified accountant and I qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1995.

During my training and since qualifying I have gained experience working within many different types of industry including construction, motor trade, pubs and breweries, manufacturing and the health service.

My Work Background

• During my time in the construction industry I worked for Heron Homes, Westbury Homes and Redrow Homes.
• Whilst in the motor trade I worked for Bryan Brothers in the Ford, Toyota and Citroen franchises. I spent 7 years working for ALD Automotive which is a large car leasing company owned by the French bank Societé Generale. I also worked for Bristol Street Motors in their commercial division and Iveco franchise.
• My other experiences include Smiles Brewery, Amalgam Fine Model Cars, Universal Components and a couple of local doctors’ practices.

This has meant I have a wealth of experience in many different types and sizes of business.

I have used many accounting packages, and been involved in many software implementations.

I have also run and help set up many different types of accounting processes within organisations.

I am a hands on accountant who understands the basics but can also present information at a strategic level in a language that you will understand.

I now offer services as a freelance consultant/management accountant/financial controller, helping smaller businesses get the financial expertise they need.
